Dr Veenu Mubarak is a Respiratory & Sleep Specialist working in Queensland Health & will be consulting from Pacific Specialist Centre from February 2015.
Dr Mubarak has a medical degree from India & postgraduate training in United Kingdom & Australia. He completed his physician training at Mater Hospital, Brisbane & his specialist training in Respiratory Medicine at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. He completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at The Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Mubarak works for QLD health & holds various teaching positions for medical doctors (RACP). He is closely involved with Griffith University medical students training. His main clinical area of interest includes chronic lung diseases (COPD, asthma,chronic cough & bronchiectasis) & lung cancer. He has a special interest in various sleep related disorders & management of excessive sleepiness. Dr Mubarak has research interest in non-invasive sampling of airways & is also involved in lung cancer mutation research.
